Conference Mobile Apps
The Challenge
When large conferences take place, attendees find themselves in need of a lot of information. From schedules and speakers, to maps and local information there is a lot to take in. When this information is managed poorly, attendees feel the repercussions. Piles of papers to carry around and last minute changes that invalidate information they received, leave attendees feeling frustrated. International Baccalaureate wanted to ease the pain of it’s conference attendees by providing them with up-to-the-minute accurate information at their fingertips.
Our Solution
We developed mobile applications for IB conference attendees on the leading operating systems, iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android. We managed the entire project using the Mobile Roadie development platform. The app was multi-lingual and included information about the event, speakers and location. Not only did the app include the full conference schedule, we also included features to allow attendees to create and access personal schedules. The app also included live streaming video in the event attendees couldn’t make it to some sessions.
The Results
Reception for the apps was amazing with over 1,000 downloads. The success of the apps also led IB to implement apps for two additional conferences to date.
